Dr. Robert Della Rocca is regularly called upon by ophthalmologists, ENT specialists, plastic surgeons and endocrinologists as a consultant regarding issues concerning the eyes.

 

Dr. Robert Della Rocca is nationally and internationally respected by his peers and is an honored ophthalmic plastic surgeon (eye) and ophthalmologist. He is a highly respected surgeon, teacher and author. His expertise includes cosmetic surgery for the eyelids, and reconstructive surgery and treatment and of the eyes, midface and brows. He treats diseases and functional abnormalities of the eyelids, orbits and tear ducts in adults and children.

 

Dr. Della Rocca has been in private medical practice in New York area since 1974. His practice Specializes in Eye Plastic and Reconstructive Orbital Eye Surgery. He has served as chief of the Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery department and as Surgeon Director at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary since 1981. He also serves as Chief of Ophthalmology St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital Center NYC.

 

Dr. Della Rocca has written several comprehensive textbooks and many journal articles in the field of oculoplastic and orbital diseases and surgery. He travels extensively in the United States and abroad to teach foreign ophthalmologists about this specialty and to perform surgery in those countries where the specialty of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery is not readily available.
