Dr. Elizabeth Anne Maher completed her undergraduate training at
Harvard
College
, cum laude, and
earned her medical degree from
Harvard
Medical
School
. She trained at
Roosevelt
Hospital
in
New
York
and completed her residency in
ophthalmology at
Manhattan Eye, Ear, and
Throat
Hospital. She completed her fellowship in Oculoplastic and
Orbital Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Maher
is certified by
the American Board of
Ophthalmology and
is a Fellow of the
American
Academy
of Ophthalmology. She is also Fellow of the American
Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
and the New York Academy of Medicine. She is on the
attending staff of both the New York Eye and Ear
Infirmary and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat
Hospital, where she spends a great deal of time
instructing the residents in surgery.
Dr. Maher has
published numerous articles and produced several videos
on innovative surgical techniques that have been shown
at the
American
Academy
of Ophthalmology. She is often a guest lecturer at
New York area hospitals on topics in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery.
